LEIDENSCHAFTLICH, 1975

January 8, 2013 by Gnome Leave a Comment

Leidenschaft_postLate Summer 1975. The Uruguay Cycling Grand Prix of Nations was in full swing, Walter Tardáguila presiding as race leader.

More importantly, as internationally significant matters of high society were concerned, one would have been hard-pressed to find Liberace performing anywhere but Vegas or Tahoe.  Love, however, is never denied the spot of Capo Premiere Decisionista, which placed him in Los Angeles with Capuletion levels of infatuation.  Libo made the call and arranged for Burt Reynolds (still panting from an exhausting day on the set of Gator) to be chauffeured to Griffith Park Observatory with the following supplies: a three bottle bundleé de chianti, some croque du sardine, a furry rug, and the right intentions.  The very next spring, Superissimo was born.

Regal cycling from that point forth has been represented exclusively by artisanally blended proportions of lace and leather, marzipan and motor oil, Electric Light Orchestra and Macho Man Randy Savage.
